All I wanted to know is warm or cool and what level of colour is best for me and how to pair up colours. I had been to the 2 main companies and labelled as difficult. Whenever I asked for another opinion because I was not happy with the suggested colour palette (I wasn’t even given a full draping just told these colours will suit you) I left unhappy and demoralised. The penny dropped for me when I realised that returning to these 2 companies was not going to give me any satisfaction because they follow a set format and only drape to that.

Sue on the other hand being an independent consultant drapes multiple ways in order to get the correct analysis. She is so inspiring and the session was so uplifting and so interactive and consultative. Watching a replay of the videos she takes so that you can really see what the drapes are saying as well as looking in the mirror is such a clear way of seeing what works and why and what does not and why.

Sue totally understands and demonstrates through the drapes how colours interact with each other, in a good and not so good and she demonstrates little colour tweaks that make superb colour combinations which I will really enjoy wearing as well as being confident enough to make more. She gives great hints and tips. 2 days after the session I received my photos from the draping session, such a helpful aide memoire which I keep handy on my phone.

I booked a session with Sue because I love her approach and can see that she totally gets colour in a way that other companies do not. The appeal also is that she doesn’t follow a limiting set routine, she is flexible in her draping methods which is sometimes needed to get the right result.

I now understand why my previous session with one of the main 2 companies was not satisfactory. The session with them was rushed, it was basic, they pressured you to buy make up, they couldn’t get you out the door fast enough because the next client was on the doorstep. Not a good experience. There was no time for questions.

Sue takes her time, she gives the drapes time to work with your skin tone. She shares her knowledge freely, is lovely and relaxed and I could ask questions. To my amazement she takes photos of many of the drapes which arrived in my inbox 2 days later. I also received copies of the videos she took. Both of these are enormously helpful and I would say even more helpful than a swatch. She also made another set of colour visuals for a specific company I buy from which has made it so much easier to make purchases.

I totally recommend Sue to you. She is the best colour consultant I have come across and her approach is like a breath of fresh air. Wendy
